Austin began his racing career at the age of 5 in Quarter Midgets. In 2003, at the age of 7, he was crowned Junior Honda Champion at North Georgia QMA raceway. At age 12, he moved into a Mustang Mini Stock where he would visit victory lane 9 times and also capture his second championship. He became the youngest driver ever crowned as track champion at the 3/8 mile Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC. He holds the all-time track record at the Old Huntsville Speedway in Huntsville, AL and has won races in 6 states (Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. And he has won at every race track that he has visited more than once.
